BMW R 1300 R TITAN CUSTOM BIKE BREAKS COVER, HERE’S WHAT IT GETS
BMW Motorrad has officially pulled the wraps off the R 1300 R Titan Custom, a one-off sprint-focused motorcycle built in-house by a select team of engineers and designers. The bike isn’t just a design experiment—it's a fully functional sprint machine packed with performance tech and dramatic visual appeal.
ENGINE & NITROUS BOOST SYSTEM
The BMW R 1300 R Titan retains the production-spec 1,300cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 145 hp and 149 Nm of torque. But what sets this version apart is a nitrous oxide injection system, giving it a significant boost during high-speed sprint runs. This nitrous setup is designed for short bursts of power, making the bike ideal for drag-style racing events.
CHASSIS & PERFORMANCE UPGRADES
To handle the additional power and deliver superior traction, BMW has installed a custom-built Wilbers suspension system, along with a long swingarm and revised chassis geometry that shifts the bike's weight forward. This setup ensures better stability and faster launches.
Additional upgrades include:
Custom triple clamps
Reinforced frame
Akrapovič titanium exhaust system
Magura HC3 performance levers
S 1000 RR rear-set footpegs
AERODYNAMICS & DESIGN ELEMENTS
Visually, the R 1300 R Titan is radically different from its stock sibling. It features a forged carbon fiber monocoque body, finished in metallic blue with aggressive aerodynamic lines. The headlight unit is retained but housed in a minimal carbon surround, emphasizing the custom sprint silhouette.
The TFT display has been repositioned into the fuel tank, giving the cockpit a sleek, clean racing profile. A 3D-printed Alcantara seat and clip-on handlebars complete the race-ready design.
PURPOSE-BUILT FOR SPRINT RACING
The BMW R 1300 R Titan is not a production model. It was built exclusively by BMW Motorrad’s R&D team to push the limits of what the platform can achieve in a straight-line sprint setup. Project lead Philipp Ludwig, along with a dedicated team of designers and fabricators, created the bike entirely in-house.
While it will not be available for sale, the Titan demonstrates BMW’s technical prowess and potential direction for future performance-oriented custom builds.
