Dhadak 2 Day 3 Box Office: Siddhant & Triptii’s Film Crosses ₹10 Cr Despite Fierce Competition

Vizzve Admin

Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, has crossed the ₹10 crore mark in its first three days at the Indian box office. A spiritual sequel to Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak (2018), this film is a more grounded, intense take on caste, love, and resistance — adapted from the Tamil original Pariyerum Perumal.

 Box Office Breakdown: Day-by-Day Performance

Day 1 (Thursday): ₹3.50 crore

Day 2 (Friday): ₹3.75 crore

Day 3 (Saturday/Sunday): ₹4.25 crore (approx.)

Total Weekend Collection: ₹11.50 crore (estimated)

While the film didn’t open with a bang, the weekend showed a steady increase in footfall, particularly in metro cities where the performances and social message resonated more deeply.

 Critical Reception & Audience Buzz

The performances of Siddhant and Triptii have been widely praised, especially their chemistry and commitment to complex roles. However, the film's serious tone, limited promotional blitz, and heavy competition from commercial blockbusters like Saiyaara and Son of Sardaar 2 affected its initial reach.

Still, the film is garnering solid word-of-mouth among younger audiences and critics alike, and multiplex screenings are seeing decent weekday advance bookings.

 Box Office Competition

Dhadak 2 released alongside major titles:

Saiyaara (Ahaan Panday) is dominating with near-₹300 crore collections.

Son of Sardaar 2 posted a ₹20 crore weekend.

Mahavatar Narsimha, a surprise spiritual thriller, stunned with ₹15 crore on Day 2 of its second weekend.

Despite this, Dhadak 2 has carved its niche with a socially relevant narrative, a rarity in mainstream Bollywood.

 Outlook: What Comes Next?

To maintain momentum, Dhadak 2 needs a strong Monday and consistent performance across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. The real test will come mid-week, when the initial buzz begins to wane. Trade analysts believe the film could cross ₹20–25 crore if it sustains this pace.
