Bengaluru’s much-awaited Metro Pink Line is set to transform city commuting. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has officially revealed the launch timeline, confirming that the line will be operational soon, connecting three major metro corridors and featuring 18 key stations.

The Pink Line, also known as the Gottigere–Nagawara line, is a crucial part of the Phase 2 expansion of the Bengaluru Metro (Namma Metro). Once fully functional, it will link the southern and northern parts of the city, greatly reducing travel time for thousands of daily commuters.

DK Shivakumar emphasized that this line will not only enhance last-mile connectivity but also boost economic growth around metro-linked zones. He assured that all civil works are nearing completion, with final touches being added to stations, signaling, and track alignment systems.
