A graphic designer working in Thane has been arrested for allegedly stealing ₹6.8 lakh in cash from his employer’s residence, according to police officials. The accused, identified as a 23-year-old freelance designer, reportedly took advantage of his trusted position to commit the crime.

The incident occurred at a private residence in Ghodbunder Road, Thane, where the accused had regular access.
According to the FIR, the designer allegedly took cash kept in a bedroom drawer while the family was away.
The complaint was filed on June 28, following which police tracked the suspect using CCTV footage and phone records.

Thane Police arrested the accused within 48 hours of the complaint.
During interrogation, he confessed and led police to the location of hidden cash, from which a major portion of ₹6.8 lakh was recovered.
