Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who recently wrapped up filming his upcoming movie Ground Zero in Kashmir, recalled a smooth and fulfilling experience just days before a tragic terror attack in Pahalgam shocked the region. The actor praised the Valley for its stunning visuals and the cooperation of locals and authorities during the shoot.
"It was one of the most peaceful and professionally managed shoots I’ve ever had," Hashmi told a news outlet during a promotional event. Ground Zero is a military drama set against the scenic backdrop of Kashmir, with much of the filming taking place in remote areas of Pahalgam and Anantnag.
Despite the recent violence, Hashmi urged filmmakers to not shy away from the region. “Kashmir has so much to offer to cinema. With the right support and security, it can become the go-to film destination of India,” he added. His comments came just before a terror attack in Pahalgam that targeted tourists, casting a shadow over the film-friendly perception of the area.
