In a significant move to strengthen peace and development in Assam’s Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the ‘Bodoland Speaks: From Vision to Action’ initiative. The event marks a key milestone under the Bodoland Happiness Mission, promoting harmony, inclusion, and linguistic pride.
Key Highlights of the ‘Bodoland Speaks’ Initiative
✅ Bodo Language Empowerment: All government communications in the BTR districts will now also be released in Bodo language, meeting a long-standing demand for linguistic recognition.
✅ Cultural Recognition: The Bodoland Lifetime Achievers Award was presented to 18 individuals who have contributed significantly to Bodo folk arts, literature, and community service.

Cultural Ethnography:
Introduction of the Bodoland Engaged Ethnography Initiative to document the traditions and lived experiences of 26 ethnic communities in BTR.
