How To Check Your EPF Balance and Interest Credited in FY25: Step-by-Step Guide

Vizzve Admin

As we enter FY 2024–25, salaried employees are eager to know if EPF interest for the financial year has been credited and how to check their Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) balance.

The EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) has made it easy for users to view their PF account details using digital and offline methods.

Here’s your quick guide to check both EPF balance and interest credited for FY25.

📲 1. Check EPF Balance via SMS

➤ SMS Format:

Send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899

You must link your UAN with Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account

Available in 10+ languages (ENG for English, HIN for Hindi, etc.)

📞 2. Missed Call Service

➤ Dial: 9966044425

The call disconnects automatically

You receive an SMS with your latest EPF balance

🔒 Conditions:
Your mobile number must be registered with your UAN (Universal Account Number).

🌐 3. Via EPFO Member Portal

➤ Website: https://www.epfindia.gov.in

Steps:

Click on ‘Services’ > For Employees > Member Passbook

Log in with your UAN & Password

Select your PF account to view balance & interest

💡 Tip: You can download your EPF passbook with detailed monthly contributions and interest.

📱 4. Use the UMANG App

UMANG (Unified Mobile App for New Governance) allows users to:

Check EPF balance

Raise grievances

Track claims

➤ Steps:

Download the UMANG App (Android/iOS)

Register with your mobile linked to UAN

Go to EPFO services → View Passbook

💼 5. Check If Interest Is Credited in FY25

EPF interest for FY25 is usually credited after Q1 ends, often between July and September

The interest will reflect in the passbook under “Interest Credited”

For FY24, the declared interest rate was 8.25%

✅ Keep checking your passbook in July–August to see if the interest for FY25 has been updated.

📤 What If EPF Interest Isn’t Showing Yet?

Don’t panic. EPF interest is credited annually but calculated monthly. Delays are common due to back-end processing. If it's not reflected by October, raise a query via the EPFO Grievance Portal or UMANG.
