Karnataka–Kerala Special Trains Extended: Railway passengers travelling between Karnataka and Kerala have received a major relief as special train services on key routes have been extended. The move is expected to benefit passengers amid continued demand for inter-state rail connectivity.

According to the latest railway update, eight special train services connecting Karnataka and Kerala will continue through December 2026. The services include trains between Hubballi and Kollam as well as SMVT Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram North.

Karnataka–Kerala Special Trains: Key Details

The extended services are aimed at providing additional travel options for passengers between the two states. Railway authorities have retained the existing timings and stoppages for the extended services.

Hubballi–Kollam Special Trains

Two services will operate between Hubballi and Kollam:

  • Train No. 07313: Hubballi to Kollam
  • Train No. 07314: Kollam to Hubballi

Train No. 07313 will operate on Sundays from October 4 to November 29, 2026, while Train No. 07314 will run on Mondays from October 5 to November 30, 2026.

Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Services

Six other special services will connect SMVT Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram North.

The Bengaluru-originating services include:

  • 06523
  • 06547
  • 06555
  •  

The corresponding return services are:

  • 06524
  • 06548
  • 06556
     

The trains will operate on different days of the week, with the extended services providing additional connectivity between Bengaluru and Kerala. Each service is scheduled to make nine trips during the extended period.
