Pakistan Ready For Any Situation: Shehbaz Sharif Reacts To Pahalgam Terror Attack

In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a strong statement, asserting that "Pakistan is ready for any situation."
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Sharif condemned the violence and emphasized the importance of regional peace, but added that Pakistan would not hesitate to defend itself if necessary. "We seek peace in the region, but we are fully prepared to respond to any provocation," Sharif said.
The Pahalgam attack, which left several civilians and security personnel injured, has heightened tensions between India and Pakistan once again. Indian authorities have blamed cross-border terror groups for the incident, calling for greater accountability from Pakistan.
Sharif, while responding to the allegations, said Pakistan rejects terrorism in all forms. "We have consistently maintained that peace and dialogue are the way forward. However, recent provocations will be met with full readiness," he added.
The Pakistani Prime Minister also called for an independent investigation into the attack to prevent further escalation between the neighboring countries. "Misunderstandings can only be avoided through transparency and cooperation," he noted.
Meanwhile, diplomatic channels between India and Pakistan remain on high alert, with international observers urging restraint from both sides.
The Pahalgam terror attack has drawn widespread condemnation globally, and all eyes are now on how the two nuclear-armed neighbors manage rising tensions.
