In a shocking incident that has left the Pune community astounded, Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani's bungalow in Lonavala was burgled and vandalised between March and July 2025. The crime came to light when Bijlani visited the property on July 18, 2025, after a four-month hiatus due to her father's illness. The intruders broke into the bungalow by cutting the wire mesh of the rear compound wall, then pried open a window grill to gain entry. Once inside, they stole ₹50,000 in cash and a television worth ₹7,000. Additionally, they vandalised the upper floor, smashing beds, damaging a refrigerator, and destroying all CCTV cameras. The burglars also left behind a derogatory message on a sliding glass door using green spray paint Hindustan Times.

 FIR and Investigation

An FIR was lodged at the Lonavala Rural Police Station by Mohammad Mujeeb Khan, Bijlani’s personal assistant, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Despite the extensive damage and stolen items, the police have yet to make any arrests. Authorities are examining available evidence, including forensic samples and partial CCTV footage, to identify the culprits Hindustan Times.
