In a major administrative and economic push, the Rajasthan Cabinet has approved the creation of a new Diaspora Department and sanctioned a ₹15,600-crore energy joint venture (JV) aimed at accelerating the state’s infrastructure and global engagement goals.

According to PTI, the state government is also rolling out a strategic policy to boost its presence in the global corporate ecosystem, targeting the establishment of 200 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) by 2030 and creating 1.5 lakh jobs for young professionals.

This marks one of Rajasthan’s biggest multi-sector policy moves in recent years.

The newly approved Diaspora Department will focus on:

Strengthening ties with Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs)

Facilitating investments from overseas communities

Helping diaspora-led startups and businesses engage with the state

Promoting Rajasthan's culture, trade, and global partnerships

The department aims to function as a single-window nodal body for diaspora coordination.

₹15,600-Crore Energy Joint Venture Approved

The Cabinet also cleared a massive ₹15,600-crore energy JV to support the state’s expanding power infrastructure, likely involving:

Renewable energy projects

Grid modernization

Establish 200 GCCs (Global Capability Centres) by 2030

Attract multinational companies

Boost technology, R&D, and analytics investments
