This maintenance window is during non-peak hours to minimize disruption for most users.
Why This Maintenance?
SBI issued a statement citing the need for backend system upgrades, including:
Strengthening of digital banking architecture
Ensuring higher uptime and faster UPI response times
Strengthening fraud detection protocols
Alternative Ways to Transact
If you’re an SBI customer or use UPI frequently, here are your best alternatives during the blackout:
💳 Use Debit/Credit Cards
Your card-based payments will function as usual at POS terminals and online.
💼 Use Net Banking
SBI Internet Banking and YONO services will not be impacted, allowing smooth transfers and bill payments.
📲 Try Other UPI Apps
If SBI is your UPI-linked bank, avoid UPI during this window. But if you have secondary bank accounts (ICICI, HDFC, Axis, etc.), you can switch the UPI profile.
🏧 ATM Withdrawals
Cash withdrawals, balance checks, and fund transfers through ATMs will remain operational.
🧠 Pro Tip
To avoid any hassle:
Complete important payments before midnight on August 5
Inform family members or business partners
Keep cash or alternate payment modes ready

“We regret the inconvenience caused. The planned downtime is necessary to serve you better. We appreciate your patience.”
