WHY THIS SHIFT TO SMVT BENGALURU?
The temporary relocation is due to infrastructure upgrades and pit-line maintenance work at KSR Bengaluru City Station (SBC) and Yesvantpur Station. To reduce congestion and allow smooth railway operations during the construction phase, select trains are being rerouted through Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT), which is equipped with modern platforms and operational capacity.
