🐘 What is Vinayaka Chavithi?
Vinayaka Chavithi, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a major Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha—the remover of obstacles, god of wisdom, and patron of beginnings.
The festival is especially prominent in Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Tamil Nadu.
📜 History & Significance
The legend says Goddess Parvati created Ganesha from sandalwood paste to guard her. When Lord Shiva unknowingly beheaded him, he replaced the head with that of an elephant—thus giving rise to the beloved deity Ganesha.
Vinayaka Chavithi marks this event and symbolizes removal of negativity and new beginnings.
