Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma Granted Divorce by Mumbai Family Court

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways after being granted a divorce by the Mumbai Family Court on March 20, 2025. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, had been living separately since June 2022 and filed for mutual divorce on February 5, 2025.

Court’s Decision and Divorce Settlement
The Bandra Family Court approved their mutual consent divorce, finalizing their separation. Considering Chahal’s commitment to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Bombay High Court waived the six-month cooling-off period, allowing the proceedings to be expedited before the IPL season begins on March 22.

As part of the divorce settlement, Dhanashree Verma has received an alimony of ₹4.75 crore, with the first installment of ₹2.37 crore already paid.

Reactions and Public Attention
Both Chahal and Verma were present at the court for the final hearing. While Chahal arrived early, Verma was seen visibly frustrated by the heavy media presence, questioning the paparazzi’s behavior as they surrounded her outside the court.

Moving Forward
With the divorce finalized, Chahal is now shifting his focus to his IPL 2025 commitments, where he will be playing for Punjab Kings. Meanwhile, Dhanashree Verma continues to build her career as a choreographer and social media influencer.

Their separation marks the end of a highly publicized relationship, and both individuals are now moving forward in their respective careers.
